Collaboration is King (or Queen!)

It’s official…collaboration is where it’s at!

I don’t know if it’s serendipity, great timing or simply years of experience in the food industry, but attending this IGD (Institute of Grocery Distribution) event all about the importance of collaboration really confirmed that we’re onto something with the Kids Food and Drink Collective.

Categories are becoming more fluid, and brands and retailers are working together to create exciting events and themes that combine frozen, chilled and ambient products all in one place. 

The entire day was packed with esteemed industry pros such as David Beardmore from Tesco and Amit Chitnis from Ocado Retail all speaking about brands working together, and in turn collaborating with retailers to create exciting category themes and events that drive innovation, growth and ultimately more shoppers into store. 

A real highlight was hearing from Pip Murray of Pip & Nut | B Corp about how to stand out from the crowd with a fantastic product and a unique brand, speak a buyer’s language and collaborate on and off shelf with other like-minded brands. All in all a very worthwhile day out!
